  2. 2
Point to your draftNote where each point appears and what it shows.

New assignment

Start with the basics. You can add rubric criteria next.

Use a name you’ll recognise in your assignment list.

Add a criterion

Make the requirement easy to recognise, then connect it to your work.

Keep the teacher’s wording where you can.
Use the rubric’s percentage if it gives one; leave blank if it doesn’t.
Point to where the requirement appears in your own work.

Paste rubric text

Turn each non-empty line into an editable criterion.

Paste plain text, one criterion per non-empty line. Bullets and numbering are removed. Add an optional weight like [20%] at the end of a line. Up to 30 criteria are accepted per import. Everything is parsed in this browser; no file or text is uploaded.

A private workspace, by design

Your assignment notes stay on this device.

Local-first storage. RubricRoute saves assignments in this browser’s local storage. It has no login, cloud sync, analytics, external AI/API call, or LMS connection. Closing the tab does not remove saved work. Anyone with access to this same browser profile may be able to see its assignments. Clearing browser site data removes them; export a backup first if you need to move or keep a copy. A downloaded backup contains your assignment text and notes, so store it somewhere you trust.
